Workshop 1
Posture and Your Pelvic Floor
Saturday 17th May
2:30pm - 5pm
in collaboration with Dr Gillian Jackson
Specialist Women’s Health and Menopause GP

Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles and connective tissues that support the organs in your pelvis, including the bladder, intestines, and for women, the uterus. These muscles form a sling-like structure at the bottom of your pelvis and play an essential role in maintaining your bodily functions and stability.
Having good posture is key to sustaining these functions and plays an important role in your pelvic floor health, as posture affects how these muscles engage and support the body’s weight. Having an awareness of correct postural alignment and how to distribute load correctly across the torso and pelvic region can support you in carrying out your daily activities with more confidence and ease.
So, whether you want to develop your knowledge around the importance of pelvic floor health in general, or have more specific questions relating to this topic, come and join me and Dr Gillian on 17th May for the 1st in our Wellbeing and Workout series.
Workshop 2
Reflexology and Functional Footwork
-for stress relief and enhanced wellbeing-
Saturday 14th June
2:30pm - 5pm
in collaboration with Amy Williams
Level 5 Clinical Reflexologist

Our feet are the foundation of our body, supporting us in every activity we do, from walking and running to standing and balancing. Strong feet are essential for maintaining balance, stability, and proper posture. When the foot muscles are weak, other parts of the body, such as the knees, hips, and lower back, may compensate for the lack of support, leading to misalignment and potential injuries.
Our feet can also be a gateway to supporting overall well-being, as they are home to numerous nerve endings and pressure points that correspond to different parts of the body. This is where reflexology comes into play. Reflexology involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears. These points, known as reflexes, are believed to correspond to various organs and systems in the body. By stimulating these reflexes, reflexologists aim to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and support the body's natural healing processes.
During the practical reflexology section of this Wellbeing Workshop, you'll learn and practise techniques on yourselves and/or on others, to relieving stress and support your general wellbeing.
So, whether you want to learn about reflexology strategies you can incorporate into your daily routine, learn how to relax, stretch and strengthen your feet, or just have some quality YOU time, then come and join me and Amy Williams – clinical reflexologist - for the 2nd in our Workout and Wellbeing series on Saturday 14th June.
